I was keen on art at school and chose to study photography at art college.
That was a few years ago and I've never looked back. It was a good decision.

It’s given me wonderful opportunities to travel extensively, (including spells living in Hong Kong, Australia, Philippines, and Dubai), to meet extraordinary people from all walks of life, and be in the privileged position of working in a profession where no two days are the same. I started pre-digital, using film. It was a thrill collecting processed film from the lab and viewing the results. I still get the same sense of anticipation today, every time I download new, fresh digital images from the camera and view for the first time on the computer.

I passionately believe that photography is truly, magical.

I currently spend most of my time shooting photographs for the education sector – working in independent and state schools, academies, and 6th Form colleges. The photo-brief is typically to convey the essence of each, unique school by shooting engaging and natural images of students and staff in an inspiring and happy learning environment. Having photographed schools for many years, I understand and enjoy the unique culture. This understanding and empathy allows me to be flexible, efficient, quick to assess what's required for any scenario, and easy to work with for staff and students. I hold a current CRB certificate. I've an information pack for schools, with details about preparing for shoots, how long shots may take etc. Drop me a line if you’d like to receive one.
